Warning signs
- Threatens to lock or close your account
- Short deadline such as 24 hours
- Link that is not your bank's real website
- Asks you to confirm a code, PIN or password
What to do
- Don't tap the link
- Call the number on the back of your card
- Forward the text to 7726 (SPAM) and delete it
